Tamil Nadu Cheif Minister K. Palaniswami offered prayers at the hill temple of Lord Venkateswarsa in Tirumala on Tuesday. For the visit, he was joined by his wife Radha and his son Mithun.
Palaniswami reached Tirumala by car on Monday night. After an overnight halt in the hills, the 63-year-old AIADMK leader had darshan early in the morning around 4:30 a.m. He stood for about 10 minutes in front of the main deity and offered his prayers. His darshan was immediately followed by ‘Vedasirvachanams’ by the Sri Vaishnavite scholars at the Ranganayakula mandapam, where the authorities also presented him with the ‘laddu prasadam’, a memento, New Year diaries, and calendars.
The family members have lit Diyas and performed pujas at Akhilandam in Tirumala and following a brief break at the guest house, left for Chennai.
