Sri Rama Navami asthanam performed in Tirumala with religious geity

The Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams (TTD) observed religious event of ‘Sri Rama Navami Asthanam’ in the hill shrine of Lord Venkateswara at Tirumala on Thursday. The temple priests performed Snapana Thirumanjanam to processional deities at Ranaganayakula Mandapam inside Srivari temple in the morning.

On this important festival day, the processional deity of Lord Sri Rama is taken on a procession in the four Mada streets on Hanumantha Vahanam. In Tirupati, special rituals were performed at Sri Kodanadarama Swamy temple. Festival commenced with Suprabatham followed by Abhishekam to presiding deity and Snapana Thirumanjanam to processional deities.

In the evening, Unjal seva was held and the day-long Sri Rama Navami celebrations came to end with Hanumantha Vahanam atop which the processional deity was carried in a procession in the streets around the temple. Sri Rama Navami festival was also conducted in Varadaraja Swamy temple at Srikalahasti.

As part of the festival, Sita Rama Kalyanam was also performed in the shrine.
