Slender Loris strays into Tiruamal roads, rescued

The Tirumala Police on Tuesday rescue a Slender Loris (Devanga Pilli) which had strayed into the roads of hill shrine. Slender loris is an endangered species native to the rainforests of Sri Lanka and Southern India. These animals are about 25 cm long and have long, thin arms. They weigh around 275 grams. They have a small, vestigial tail.  Loris is covered with fur. Color of the fur can be grey, brown, yellow, red, silver or golden.
