Yet another fire accident occurred in the kitchen of the world famous Tirumala Temple on Saturday afternoon. The fire erupted in the ‘potu’ (kitchen) of the temple that is dedicated to Lord Venkateswara, where the famous Tirupathi laddus are made.
The blaze created panic among thousands of devotees who were queued up for darshan. Two fire engines were pressed into service to put off the flames. The fire was brought under control within just half-an-hour. Over-heat is reported as the reason for the accident.
