Trial run of SD counters by second week of December says JEO

The trial run of Time slot system for Sarva Darshan will commence from second week of December and the Counters meant to issue the tokens should get ready by December 5, said Tirumala JEO Sri KS Sreenivasa Raju.

During the weekly review meeting on Tuesday at Annamaiah Bhavan in Tirumala with senior officers of TTD, the JEO said, the management is considering this as a prestigious project which is aimed to facilitate the common pilgrims more comfortable darshan with less waiting hours in queue lines and compartments. He directed the civil, electrical and IT wings to complete all the necessary arrangements within the stipulated time. “All the 150 centres coming up in 21 locations should be well equipped with the required electronic gadgets to issue time slot darshan tokens without any flaws”, the JEO said.

He also reviewed on the progress of works related to Vakulamata Potu, Padi Potu, additional potu, Laddu complex etc. He said the call centre exclusively meant for accommodation will also commence in the next few days.

Later speaking to media, the JEO said, all the arrangements for Vaikuntha Ekadasi are in pace and all works will be completed by December 20.

CE Sri Chandra Sekhar Reddy, FACAO Sri Balaji, SE II Sri Ramachandra Reddy and other officers were also present.
