Experimental time slots for Sarvadarshan from December 18th

With goal to give quicker darshan to devotees in sarva darshan and reduce their waiting time in the Vaikuntam queue complex, the TTD plans to experimentally allot time slots from December 18.

Disclosing this to media at Annamayya bhavan the Tirumala JEO Sri KS Sreenivasa Raju said 117 counters have been set up at 14 regions of Tirumala to issue tokens for sarva darshan (free darsan) on a pilot basis for 5-7 days for all devotees with Aadhar cards. Only such devotees with tokens will be given entry at the Divya darshan complex.

The token system will be fully operational after two months with suitable changes based on the feedback from devotees, he said adding that devotees without Aadhar card can have darshan through the Sarva darshan complex.

POTU MODERNIZATION WORKS

JEO Sri Raju said the TTD has taken up modernization works of the Vakulamata Potu inside Srivari temple where Anna prasadam for Srivari Naivedyam is prepared.
He said works were under way at the Padi potu and additional Potu at VQC etc since last two months and the laddu production will henceforth hiked by another 50,000 to 80,000 laddus per day from Dec.20.Presently 2.80 lakhs per day to 3.10 lakh laddus were produced there.

He said on a long term works basis increasing the works for laddu boondi preparation were also afoot and will be completed in 4 to 6 months.The issue of staff in Potu and additional Potu has been resolved, he said.

The JEO said all arrangements for Vaikunta Ekadasi on December 29 and Dwadasi on Dec.30 were taken up on a war footing and will reviewed again on Dec.12.

With objective of providing better conveniences to common devotees, the TTD has suspended VIP breaks from Dec.23 to January second week, except for protocol VIP breaks.

He said currently one Aadhar is accepted while applying for VIP break tickets but from January 1st week all applicants will have to provide Aadhar ahead of issue of tickets.

Among others TTD SE-2 Sri Ramachandra Reddy, DyEOs Sri Kodandarama Rao, Sri Venugopal, VGO Sri Raveendra Reddy, Catering official Sri GLN Shastry and OSD Sri Lakshminarayana Yadav participated in the meeting.
