The festival of Chakra Teertha Mukkoti was observed with utmost religious fervour at Tirumala on Thursday morning.
After the second bell in Tirumala temple, a team of archakas lead by Temple DyEO Sri Kodanda Rama Rao, Parupattedar Sri Ramachandra went to Chakra Teertham, located on the southern side of Tirumala adjacent to Silathoranam. There the deities of Lord Sri Sudarshana Chakrattalwar, Sri Nrisimha Swamy and Sri Anjaneya Swamy were offered special abhishekam and puja. Later Neivedyam was offered to devotees.
Chakra Teertham happens to be one of the most powerful and sacred teerthams among Saptha Maha Teerthas of Tirumala.
