Bhasyakarula Vellai Sattupadi Utsavam held with religious fervour

In connection with the ongoing 19 day Bhashyakarula utsavam, on sixth day on Tuesday Vellai Sattupadi Utsavam was held in Tirumala with religious fervour.

According to this fete, Sri Bhashyakarulavaru was dressed in white silk pattu clothes brought from Sri Rangam. As per the legend, on the request of one of his disciples Sri Kurattalwar, Sri Ramanujacharya had spent spiritual life for 14 years in Melkote of Karnataka. To mark this occasion he was dressed in white clothes instead of his usual saffron clothes.

So the same was replicated on Tuesday and Sri Ramanujacharya was taken on a procession in Tiruchi along four mada streets in Tirumala.

Jiyar Swamy, Tirumala JEO Sri KS Sreenivasa Raju and others were also present.
