“ARUNA PARAYANAM” RENDERED IN TIRUMALA TEMPLE

Aruna Parayanam has been organised in Tirumala temple by Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams(TTD) on Sunday.

Under the instructions of Tirumala JEO Sri KS Sreenivasa Raju, in the supervision of temple OSD Sri P Seshadri, Peishkar Sri Ramesh and Parupattedar Sri Sasidhar, vedaparayanamdars Sri Srinivasan and Sri Gaurisankar rendered the episode of “Aruna Parayanam” from Taittireya Samhita of Krishna Yajurvedam in Vimana Prakaram between 7am and 10am.

After performing Surya Namaskaram to Lord Surya, Aruna Parayanam followed Surya Prarthana and Surya Namavali in the presence of Ananda Nilaya Vimana Venkateswara Swamy.

Meanwhile, the Vedic students of Dharmagiri Veda Vignana Peetham rendered Aditya Hrudayam and later performed Surya Prabha Vahana seva with replica of Panchayudhamurthy of Lord on Suryaprabha Vahanam pulled by Sapthaswas and charioteer Anura.

Speaking on this occasion scholars Sri Venkata Deekshitulu and Sri Jonnavittula Venkataraman Sharma said, Lord Surya is considered as First and foremost among deities and His divine presence is felt with the solar energy. “As Lord Shiva is known as Abhisheka Priya, Lord Vishnu Alankara Priya, Lord Surya is Namaskara Priya. Hence offering Surya Namaskaram to Lord Surya not only pleases Him but keeps our body and soul hale and healthy”, they added.
