Vice President of India Venkaiah Naidu prays at Tirumala

Vice President Venkaiah Naidu offered prayers in the temple of Lord Venkateswara on Tuesday morning along with his family members. After an overnight stay on the hills, Naidu along with his family arrived for darshan in the morning hours through vaikuntam queue complex.

On his arrival at Maha Dwaram, the priests and officials have welcomed the Vice President of India with Temple honors(ISTHIKAPAL) and led to the sanctum sanctorium. Later he offered prayers to the presiding deity of Lord Venkateswara, Vakula mata, Ananda Nilayam Vimana Venkateswara, Bhashyakarla Sannidhi and Yoga Narasimha Swamy in the Sanctum Sanctorum.

After darshan of Lord, the Vice President was given holy water – Teertham, Melchat Seshavastram and was extended Satari honours. Later TTD EO Anil Kumar Singhal offered prasadams to Venkaiah Naidu and his entourage.

Speaking to media, VP Venkaiah Naidu said that the celebrities and other prominent personalities should visit Tirumala Tirupati temple only once in a year. He also said that the ordinary devotees should not face any problems while making the darshan of the Lord. T
