Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams (TTD) garnered a revenue of Rs.4.79cr through e-Auction of 8,400 kilos of different varieties of human hair.
The e-Auction was held on Thursday under the supervision of Tirumala JEO Sri KS Sreenivasa Raju.
Out of the 3600kg of No 1 variety, 100kg was sold at Rs 26,005 per kg, yielding a total Rs. 26.21 lakhs. Some 2600 kg was there in the B Category, and was priced at Rs 18,331 per kg; 800kg was sold from the category, earning Rs. 146.46 lakhs.
In the No 2 category, there was a stock of 1600kg, and was priced at Rs 17,810; total 500kg was sold earning Rs 89.05 lakhs. Some 5700 kg was there in the B Category, and was priced at Rs 18,331 per kg; 800kg was sold from the category, earning Rs. 146.46 lakhs.
In the No 3 category, there was a stock of 700 kg, and was priced at Rs 6025; all stock sold earning Rs 42.18. lakhs.
Out of the 4300kg of No 4 variety, 300kg was sold at Rs 1,800 per kg, yielding a total Rs. 5.40 lakhs.
