Tirumala Nambi pioneered Abhisheka Seva to the diety says JEO Srinivasa Raju

‌Tirumala JEO Sri KS Srinivasa Raju long with CV and SO Sri Ake Ravikrishna  offered prayers in Tirumala Nambi Sannidhi located in South Mada street on the occasion of the 1044th Avatara Utsavam of the Acharya Purusha at Tirumala on Tuesday.

JEO said that Acharya Purusha and great Sri Vaishnava Saint Sri Tirumala Nambi is the first person who pioneered Abhisheka Seva to Lord Venkateswara.

Speaking on this occasion the JEO said, many saintly persons did lot of contributions and pioneered various sevas to Lord. “Among them Sri Tirumala Nambi who also happens to be the Guru and maternal uncle of Sri Ramanujacharya commenced “Abhisheka Kainkaryam” by bringing holy water from Papavinasanam. Seeing his undeterred devotion at ripped age, the Lord Himself brought Akasa Ganga waters and blessed Tirumala Nambi. I am happy that even today, the Tatacharya dynasty is continuing the legacy and observing the Avatarotsavams of the great Saint every year in a befitting manner”, he added.

Later the successor of Nambi clan, Sri Tatacharya Krishnaswamy, Sri C Ranganathan, Alwar Divya Prabandha Project special officer Incharge Sri Chokkalingam honoured JEO and CVSO. While Prof.Kannan from Central University of Hyderabad delivered the key note address.
