Telangana Congress MLA Komatireddy Venkat Reddy prays at Tirumala

Telangana Congress MLA Komatireddy Venkat Reddy along with his family, offered prayers at Tirumala Hill shrine today. Komatireddy had darshan of the deity during VIP break. After his darshan, the Congress leader spoke to the media. Komatireddy said that he had prayed for good rains in the Telugu states and for the welfare of the people. He said that he had hopes that the Congress party would form the government in 2019.

“Except for the ruling Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS) leaders, no one in Telangana is happy. Except for Chief Minister K Chandrashekhar Rao (KCR) family members, who are solely controlling the government, not even cabinet ministers are happy,” Komatireddy remarked.

The Congress MLA welcomed the Congress Working Committee’s (CWC) decision to grant Special Category Status (SCS) to Andhra Pradesh, as mentioned in the AP State Reorganization Act, 2014. He recalled that the TRS MPs, including KCR’s daughter Kavitha, had extended support to SCS to AP. Telangana’s development is seen only on paper, but not in reality, he remarked.
