The 71st Republic Day has witnessed grand gala of celebrations at the TTD Parade Grounds on Sunday.
The National Day commenced with Executive Officer Sri Anil Kumar Singhal hoisting the Tricolour flag on the occasion.
An attractive parade by TTD vigilance staff led by AVSO Sri Nandeeswar Rao stole the show. It was followed by EO’ s address to the TTD employees and presentation of one Srivari silver dollar and an appreciation letter to 24 officials and 205 other employees of all departments by him for their mertorious contributions.
On the occasion the 20 member private security team led by Srinivas highlighted the arrangements made by TTD to avert accidents on ghat roads. A display of dogs of bomb squad in detecting drugs and explosives and a human pyramid display by TTD security staff held the audience enthralled.
The attractive dance and patriotic songs presented by students of various TTD educational institutions including Annamacharya sankeertans won the applause.
