Chief preist of Tirumala temple Ramana Deekshitulu and three other senior preists Narasimhadeekshitulu, Sreenivasamurthy Deekshitulu and Narayana Deekshitulu were forced to step down from their jobs after TTD administration decided to ‘retire’ all those archakas aged above 65 with immediate effect.
The decision was taken at TTD Trust Board Meeting in Tirumala’s Annamaiah Bhavan on Wednesday.
TTD EO AK Singhal said mediapersons that they will send notice to Ramana Deekshitulu seeking his explanation for allegedly making some derogatory remarks on TTD in a press meet in Chennai.
