Recently the AP Government sanctioned Rs. 466 criteria funding for the construction of off shore water reservoir. Happy with the sanction, Shivaji visited the hill shrine to offer his prayers to Lord Venkateswara and seek his blessings for the construction of the much awaited project. Accompanied with his followers, Shivaji reached Tirumala and tonsure his head in kalyanakatta. Later, he had darshan of the diety along with his followers.
Speaking to mediapersons, Shivaji said that 24,000 acres of land will be cultivated in Srikakulam District with the construction of the off shore water reservoir.
