Sri Malayappa Swamy takes a colourful ride on Kalpavriksha Vahanam

Thousands of pilgrims witnessed the procession of Sri Malayappa Swamy on ‘Kalpavriksha Vahanam’ on the fourth day of the ongoing Navaratri Brahmotsavams on Saturday morning.

Flanked by His two divine consorts, Sri Malayalam was carried in a grand procession around the mada streets on the golden ‘Kalpavriksha (Tree of boons) Vahanam’.

It is widely believed that all the wishes of the devotees shall be fulfilled by just praying to the Lord while on this ‘Divine Tree Vahanam’ which according to Hindu mythology is one of the celestial components that had surfaced during the churning of the milky ocean (Ksheera Sagaram) even before the evolution of the universe.
