Splendour marks Rathotsavam in TIRUMALA

Splendor marked the ‘Rathotsavam’ event on Wednesday, the penultimate day of the nine-day Srivari Navaratri Brahmotsavams at Tirumala as the ecstatic chanting of ‘Govinda’ ‘Govinda’ by the devotees hit the sky.

After the special rituals such as ‘Punyahavachanam’ and ‘Navagraha dhyanam,’ the processional deities of Sri Malayappa Swamy and his two divine consorts were ceremoniously mounted atop Ratham amidst chanting of Vedic hymns by the temple pundits.

Tens of thousands of devotees from different parts of the country participated in the divine procession that took place between 7.00 – 9.00 AM.
