Lauding the commendable services by vegetable donors, Tirumala JEO Sri KS Sreenivasa Raju sought them to come out with vegetable varieties for the ensuing twin Brahmotsavams.
A meeting with vegetable donors from various states with Tirumala JEO took place in Annamaiah Bhavan at Tirumala on Wednesday evening. Speaking to the vegetable donors, the JEO complimented their spirit from past seven years. Your contribution is immense and in fact one of the major reasons in success of Anna prasadam.
He said, the cooperation extended by vegetable donors especially during the time of crisis like lorries strike, Samaikhyandhra agitation is unforgettable.
He assured them the problems related to AC, open and closed vehicles while transporting vegetables from distant places of Tamilnadu, Karnataka and Andhra Pradesh will be sorted out soon and ensure hassle free transportation. The JEO also requested the donors to enhance the donation of leafy vegetables, green chillies and tomatoes as the scope of Anna prasadam services has increased immensely in the recent times.
Later he felicitated over a dozen vegetable donors who hailed from Vijayawada and Tirupati from AP, Chennai and Tirupur from Tamilnadu, Chikballapur and Chintamani of Karnataka.
Special Officer Annaprasadam Sri S Venugopal, Catering Officer Sri GLN Shastry and other officers, staff members of Annaprasadam wing were also present.
