On the penultimate day of the ongoing Srivari Navaratri Brahmotsavams, Sri Malayappa Swamy who took the form of Kalki Avatar was taken for a celestial ride on Aswa vahanam in the Mada streets on the evening of Wednesday.
Riding the horse car Lord, displayed His stamina for speed and strength and enthralled the pilgrims who had descended on the hill shrine as the festival reaches conclusion.
The ‘Ashwa Vahanam’ procession denotes one of Lords most popular and well received avatars, Kalki – aGood Samaritan who fights evil and protects the righteous and good things in Kaliyuga.
